This agreement covers the G-Scope Desktop software (“the Software”), including the free edition and the paid Pro edition. By installing or using the Software you accept this agreement.
1. Free edition
The free edition of G-Scope Desktop is free to download, install and use for any lawful purpose, including full-resolution viewing and capture, video recording, camera controls, manual calibration, basic measurements, annotations and local image organization. It requires no license.
2. Pro license grant
The Pro edition is a one-time purchase for one named user. The Pro license grants you the right to use the Pro features on up to three (3) computers that you own or control, on Windows, macOS and Linux, under the same license. The license is valid for commercial use: you may use the Pro features for any lawful purpose, including paid work.
If you purchased a Smart G-Scope, Pro is included with the microscope and unlocks while the device is connected.
The conditions in sections 3 to 6 apply only to Pro license holders.
3. Activation and offline use
Activation requires a one-time connection to our license service to validate your key. After activation the Pro features run fully offline. No account is required.
4. Transfers
You may deactivate the Pro license on one computer and activate it on another at any time. You may also transfer the license to another person, provided you first deactivate it on all your computers.
5. Updates
The Pro license covers this version of the Software forever and includes all updates within the current major version (currently version 2.x). Security fixes and essential operating-system compatibility updates remain available for supported versions. A new major version may be offered as a paid upgrade; you are never required to buy it to keep using the version you own.
6. Refunds
You may request a refund within 30 days of purchase by contacting [email protected], in accordance with our refund policy.
7. Restrictions
You may not resell, rent, lease, or sublicense the Software or your license key; use one Pro license on more than three computers at the same time; or reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except as permitted by law.
8. No warranty
The Software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the licensor is not liable for any damages arising from the use of the Software.
10. Governing law
This agreement is governed by the laws of Spain.
