Frequently asked questions
Will my Skybasic microscope work?
Skybasic wired models with a PC camera mode enumerate as standard UVC devices (GENERAL-UVC), so live view, capture, calibration and measurement work. We tested the wired 50–1000× and wired 2K models. Wi-Fi-only models are not UVC and are not covered.
Do the capture buttons work?
The snapshot button usually works; behavior varies by unit. Configurable keyboard shortcuts always work.
Is this the official Skybasic software?
No. G-Scope Desktop is an independent free application that supports Skybasic's UVC devices. It is not affiliated with Skybasic.
